The Science and Encyclopaedia Publishing Centre (hereinafter – Centre) is a State-owned scientific publishing institution that was established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Lithuania (www.smm.lt). The Centre publishes universal and branch encyclopaedias, monolingual, bilingual and multilingual glossaries, linguistic and school dictionaries, manuals and directories, works of the Lithuanian and world cultural, scientific and technical heritage, memorials of the Lithuanian writing and ethnical culture, scientific, technical, fiction works, popular science and pedagogical literature, textbooks for higher and further education schools, information publications, and a journal "Gimtoji kalba" (Native Language).
